Lifeline Ukraine
Lifeline Ukraine is a national suicide prevention and mental health support service created for veterans and their families in Ukraine. The platform provides 24/7 confidential support, information resources, and guidance. It’s designed to be accessible, trustworthy, and empathetic during moments of crisis.
2021 - 2024
Goal
The project’s goal was to create a mobile-first, user-centric website that provides instant access to critical crisis-support services, with clear information architecture, streamlined navigation, and full WCAG compliance to support rapid decision-making under emotional stress. While I worked on Lifeline Ukraine, the site was refreshed twice—first in 2021, and then again in 2024, when I led a full rebuild to bring the vision to life.

Process Highlights & Result
UX Audit & Problem Identification
Conducted a UX audit of the old version of the site, identifying issues with navigation, accessibility, and excessive text.

Content Simplification & Structure
Simplified and reorganized the content to make key information easily accessible and understandable even for a psychologically vulnerable audience.

Updated Visual Style & Accessibility
Updated the visual style of the site in accordance with the brand book, improving readability and visual hierarchy. Added more white space and attention to accessibility.

Modular Design with Prismic Slices
Created a new site layout using a Prismic slice system for flexible content updates by the team, ensuring convenient editing and scaling.
Result
The redesigned platform significantly improved user trust and reduced time-to-action in crisis situations.
A modular, mobile-first interface enabled 3x faster access to the helpline and empowered the client to scale content without developer support. Clean, accessible UI with prioritised navigation enhanced clarity, consistency, and reduced cognitive load across all devices.
